Bill Turner, Energy Healing

Born and raised in Oregon, Bill first moved to Central Oregon in 1972 after graduating from high school in Ashland. He then had opportunities to live and work in Ketchum, Idaho and Tahoe City, California. In 2006, as all good Oregonians do, he returned home to Central Oregon with his wife Lorrie, their two dogs and horses.

Bill’s journey into energetic healing began in 1978 when he first began studying in the Martial Arts. As a consummate student he has studied six different styles of the Martial Arts and holds Black Belt degrees in three of them. Bill began his training in Chinese Chi Gong 28 years ago. He has been a Reiki Master for 13 years and is also trained in Japanese Jin Shin. He is one of the first ten people to graduate from the School of Sahaj Energy Healing in Bozeman, Montana. This is one of two schools in the country accredited for energetic healing.

Bill has been treating people since 1992. Energy treatments have helped his clients on an emotional and physical level. There have been many successes ranging from pre and post-surgical treatment, relief of cancer symptoms, depression, relieving stress naturally, overall pain relief and balancing of the body’s energetic system.

In 1998 Bill began working on competition horses with his Restorative Energy Balancing and Healing. As of now, his clients have won over two million dollars in earnings with the National Cutting Horse Association. For the last two years he has been working with Phil Rapp, the #1 overall money earners in NCHA history. He also has worked with top Barrel Racers, Dressage, and Three Day Event Competitors.

Ever since returning to Oregon, Bill and Lorrie have had their sights on Sisters and the lifestyle of a smaller community in which they feel at home. Bill is a Certified Level Two Professional Ski Instructor of America, a professional speaker and trainer with “The Leader’s Speakers Bureau” as well as the author of DefenseNow for Schools- a curriculum for public schools.

Bill is now working locally at Green Ridge Physical Therapy & Wellness. Bill and Lorrie are very happy with their move to Sisters and being a part of this wonderful community.

This is what some of Bill’s clients have to say about his work:

"Bill's treatments have helped to heal a long time stomach issue. Not only do I feel better, but I have become much calmer and more grounded in my life." B.H.

"My blood pressure used to dramatically spike when exercising and made me very nervous. After two treatments with Bill the spiking eased off significantly. I am amazed and feel so much better!" B.G.

"When I first started with Bill my overall pain level from various injuries was an 8 to 9 on the scale with 10 being the worst. After six treatments, I am down to a 2 overall! Now my body and mind feels more balanced and I feel at peace. The best gift he gave me was regaining my "can do" attitude, and now I am hiking and biking again!" M.J.G.

"When I came to Bill, I had been experiencing debilitating migraines and uncontrollable shaking of my hands. After a series of treatments, the shaking in my hands is gone and my headaches are few and far between. I feel that my brain is sharp again after a very long time! I am sleeping great and have started hiking and jogging again, and I am exercising with a new found strength. Thank you Bill!" S.C.

"When you put your hands over my eyes, I realized that all the pain was gone. I felt the energy making a new space for me and now I feel very content and peaceful." N.C.

"I could feel the energy moving through my leg into my foot. It felt weird, but it feels good! I am very happy with the progress I have made here.” C.V.

"I have done a number of treatments with Bill over this year. It has totally changed my life for the better! I highly recommend treatments for anyone who wants to cope better with a demanding job or a busy lifestyle. Thanks Bill!" V.W.K.

"After working with Bill I feel so much better and I am not worrying as much. You have a real gift!" J.F.

"Bill helped me break through the pain I had been living with. After just a few treatments I was able to stand up and walk with no pain. I could feel the energy flowing through my arms and legs again. Amazing!" M.C.

JamesMonika Piatt, L. M. T.

Monika attended Sage School of Massage and Healing Arts in Bend, OR and joined the Green Ridge Team in 2011. Continuing Education classes include Bill Musser’s Deep Tissue for the Whole Body. Consequently, her primary focus is Deep Tissue and Therapeutic Massage for general or specific target areas.

Maintaining a physically active lifestyle, which includes hiking, running, skiing and paddling, kept postural issues to a minimum, during the decades of clerical work in the business world. However, the many benefits of receiving massage personally, as well as a heart to help other folks feel better – mind, body and spirit - inspired the pursuit of a career change in her late 40’s. She takes daily inspiration from a poem titled “A Massage Therapist’s Prayer”. The closing line reads: “At night, when day is done, let me rest in peace if I helped just one.”

As part of an outdoor-oriented family, she also witnessed the amazing healing results of massage combined with Physical Therapy. Her husband Lance and their son Torrey have both received treatment for various injuries and maintained restored wellness as patients at Green Ridge.

Monika feels doubly blessed to have a rewarding career and work at a facility with a reputation of excellence, in a community she has called home for 16 years.

MarieMarie Risenmay, D P.T.

Marie comes to us with nine years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy. Although, she has focused much of her continuing education on the treatment of low back, pelvic and hip pain, she has also pursued additional knowledge in treatment of shoulder, plantar fasciitis, and vestibular rehab.

Marie is dedicated to staying updated on the most current research and treatment techniques in order to best serve her patients. Her treatment techniques involve a focus on the use of manual therapy including mobilizations with movement, joint mobilizations, and instrument-assisted soft tissue techniques. She sees manual therapy as providing a window of opportunity to restore function of the musculoskeletal system and therefore combines her treatment with exercises that restore motor recruitment and function. With a particular interest in biomechanics and pain science in order to treat the entire body as a system, Marie enjoys treating patients who present with a challenge in finding the source of symptoms, which often results in treating multiple joints and not just chasing pain. Marie’s background in athletics, including competitive gymnastics, gives her a keen eye for movement and dysfunction.

Marie lives with her husband and two young children on acreage in Redmond where they raise Texas Longhorn Cattle. She enjoys mountain biking, downhill skiing, horseback riding, and bird hunting.

Matthew Carter, D.P.T.

Matt has been a traveling PT and has worked in several different locations/settings in AZ, CA, ID, and OR.  When deciding on putting down roots permanently, Matt focused on the many attributes and offerings of Central Oregon.

His treatment focuses primarily on kinesiology and finding/correcting biomechanical faults in movement patterns and posture via manual therapy techniques such as joint mobilizations/manipulations and soft tissue work, as well as corrective exercises. He especially enjoys working with the neck, shoulders, and lower extremities, as well as patients with nerve pain and balance deficits and is RockTape certified.
